Eat Your Mood
2023-24
Created as a series of multiple ceramic sculptural plates, "Eat Your Mood" originated as an attempt to connect with the emotion, to recognise the trauma or in some cases to deal with an uncontrolled use of a substance. The plates and their representations, act as mirrorings of my past, ap-proached with a sense of cynicality, which automatically requests and allows a certain distance from subjects fragile. What looks like an aesthetised everyday object, speaks a much deeper narrative. How easily can truth be distorted? What is true when irony is the overruling axis of that which is seen in bare eyes?
There are people that find it hard to express
their feelings and,
people that try hard to hide them,
there are ones over-expressing that
which resides inside them,
and ones criticising
that which they cannot afford
to utter.
And there’s a few among them all
that don’t know
how to feel simply because
they haven’t yet recognised
what a feeling takes.
